Consultation Information

Private Client Work

Raven Consultancies, more than anyone, understand the extremely personal and impacting nature of the problems that people bring with them to therapy.  Furthermore, because of the diverse personality types that enter therapy, the many issues that people have to resolve, we understand how short sessions can be counter-productive as well as hugely frustrating for the individual experiencing the problems.

Our consultations reflect the need for the client to settle in to the therapeutic session, for the therapist and client to develop rapport, to carry out a full and proper analysis of the issues, and to facilitate work on those issues without time imposing pressure or cutting the consultation short

Because of this an initial consultation with us can last anything from one hour up to four hours, depending on the need of the client.  Subsequent consultations last between one and two hours. Please feel free to contact us for our current consultation fees.

Once in therapy, you will have the facility to contact your therapist outside normal consultations.  This is normally to assist clients to deal with emergencies or any crisis but this facility should respect the therapist and their right to quality time.  Therefore, calls should only be made at appropriate times and be kept as short as possible.

Telephone and Skype Consultations

Raven Consultancies carries out consultations via telephone and Skype Video, as and when the need arises, although this is restricted to specific circumstances. Normally such consultations are only made available to clients who have already attended consultations in person but then find that their personal situation changes and prevents them from attending in the normal way.

Examples of this may be that someones geographical distance changes or makes travel to consultaitons in Harrogate impractical. Many existing clients have moved to locations further afiels such as London, Scotland or Northern Ireland, conversely thay may have moved to another country, we currently have clients who live overseas in places like Canada, New Zealand, Aftica and throughout Europe.

When required, these consultations are scheduled in the usual manner. On the day of the consultation, the client then makes the call at the agreed time and the consultation commences. Consultations in these cases are paid for by the client at the end of the consultation using online transactions, the necessary bank details and login details will be furnished to the client by email prior to the consultation commencing. Currrently there has been an exponential increase in this service due to the Covid-19 outbreak due to the need for social distancing. It is therefore essential that sound and reliable email contact is sestablished, should you faill to attend the skype consultation then you will be charged for the session and no further cinsultations will be scheduled until the previous consultation has been paid for.

Occupational Client Work

Working with businesses and occupational clients is different from private client work. Due to the complex nature of some projects and the fact that a project may either have a finite timeline or be open-ended and ongoing this sort of work is consultation-based.

Our initial brief would be designed to clarify exactly what your needs are, whether we are the right facilitators for you and whether this is the sort of work that we are prepared to undertake. We would then have to agree on a strategy for moving forward and the best manner for delivery.

For example; carrying out a small number of psychometric assessments as part of a selection process is somewhat different to a longer-term marketing and business development project. Each type of work would inevitably carry with it a different set of cost implications for your organization.

Short-term service provision can be quoted for independently but longer-term projects would have to be based on a contractual basis and may include such things as an agreed hourly rate, together with additional payments and expenses such as overnight accommodation fees and travel expenses in accordance with HMRC's AMAPs guidelines, where applicable.
